Congratulations to FCDS Upper School students who competed and placed in the American Mathematics Contests.
25 questions. 75 minutes. The American Mathematics Contests are multiple choice examinations in high school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills. Topics include algebra, geometry, trigonometry, number theory, and probability.
Administered around the country, these competitions allow high school students to develop positive attitudes towards analytical thinking and mathematics that can assist in future careers. The AMC 10 and 12 are the first in a series of competitions.
