Ways to Give

Every gift makes a difference.
Philanthropy takes many forms, and there are many ways to support FCDS. Our families have always been generous in giving their time and talents to our community and with that FCDS hopes that 100 percent of our parents will give to the Forsyth Fund.

Unlike tuition, gifts to the Forsyth Fund are tax-deductible and enrich the entire school community. Because tuition does not cover the cost of a Forsyth Country Day School education, we rely on contributions from hundreds of donors each year.

In addition to the Forsyth Fund, parents, grandparents, alumni, local companies, and friends of the school may contribute to the school’s ongoing capital campaign, the endowment, and through estate planning. Charitable giving by parents is essential to the school’s success and stability.

Here are the ways in which you can make your gift:

  • Online

    You can make a gift online using a Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, or American Express. Click below to go to the desired form:
     

  • Mail

    You may give using a check or money order by making it out to Forsyth Country Day School and mailing it to the following address:

  • Stock Transfer

    Securities may be transferred to the school in one of two ways:
     
    • Your broker may electronically transfer ownership of stock to FCDS’s account. Please notify or have your broker notify Michel Ellis at (336) 945-3151, ext. 506 when you have initiated a stock transfer.

    Please note: Stock transfers must be initiated by June 1 in order to allow time for processing by our June 30 fiscal year end.

  • Matching Gifts

    Many employers will match charitable gifts made by their employees. These matching gifts may double the size of your gift to the school. You will be recognized at the level of your personal gift plus your company’s matching gift.

    Inquire with your employer’s Human Resources department to see if the company matches giving. If so, you will need to initiate the process there and we will confirm gift receipt to finalize the process.

  • Wire Transfer

    If you would like to initiate a wire transfer of funds to FCDS, please contact Michel Ellis at 336-945-3151, ext. 506 or michelellis@fcds.org. 

  • IRA Charitable Rollover

    The IRA Charitable Rollover provision allows individuals who have reached age 70½ to donate up to $100,000 to charitable organizations directly from their Individual Retirement Account (IRA), without treating the distribution as taxable income.

Forsyth Country Day School (FCDS) is a private, college preparatory, independent school for preschool through high school located in Lewisville, NC, just outside of Winston-Salem.
