Creativity. Experimentation. Exploration. There are many ways to describe the benefits of visual and performing arts for our students.
That’s why art should be part of your child’s daily schedule – at every age.
Here’s how our students enjoy a wide variety of fine arts:
Our Lower School students experience visual arts, singing, instrumental music, and movement.
Our Middle School students participate in our award-winning programs in visual arts, chorus, and orchestra.
Our Upper School visual art students have a full digital lab with Adobe Creative Suite, a darkroom with 12 enlargers, a drawing and painting studio, and two kilns.
Our Upper School performing arts classes include vocal workshop, chamber singers, and speech and drama.
Our orchestra (grades 5-12) has been nationally recognized as one of the top independent school orchestra programs in the Southeast.
All students have the opportunity to perform in dramas and musicals throughout the school year.
Additionally, FCDS Enrichment offers opportunities in dance, drama, visual arts, and music, including private lessons, throughout the school day and beyond. It conveniently offers a wide array of arts instruction to our own students as well as the general public.
Your child will have plenty of opportunities to experience all forms of art at Forsyth Country Day School.
