    Bio
     
    Lisa and her family recently relocated to the Winston-Salem area from Louisiana. Lisa graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. 

    Lisa has twelve years of experience teaching elementary school. For nine years before coming to FCDS, Lisa worked at St. Joseph Catholic School in Ponchatoula, Louisiana as a Pre-K 4 teacher assistant and Pre-K 4 lead teacher.

    Lisa and her husband Timmy have a son, Connor.

    Bio
     
    Tiffany earned her master’s degree in gifted education from Barry University and taught for more than 18 years in South Florida and North Carolina.

    Honored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation for her work in education, Tiffany has taught both International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) social studies courses. Her International Baccalaureate training was through the United Nations in New York. She is also an internationally published author with more than 20 years of publishing industry experience. 

    Tiffany and her husband  live in Advance.

    Bio
     
    Kelly grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English and psychology at Wake Forest University, where she was a four-year member of the women’s varsity soccer team. Subsequently, she earned master’s degree in library studies from UNC-Greensboro.

    Kelly has spent the last 14 years a technologist, at-risk coordinator, and media specialist at East Forsyth High School and has coached for Twin City Soccer. She is a member of the North Carolina School Library Media Association.Kelly and her husband Scott have twins, Tyler and Haley.

    Bio
     
    Chelsea earned her bachelor's and master's degree in elementary education from Appalachian State University and is National Board certified in Early Childhood Education. She taught second grade for 10 years in the Ashe County School System before moving to Lewisville in 2016 and working for the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School system for one year before coming to FCDS. At FCDS, she taught in the three year old and transitional four year old programs before moving into her current position as Assistant Director of Preschool. She and her husband, Nick, live in Lewisville with their son, Pierce (FCDS class of 2036) and dog, Chance.

    Bio
     
    Dr. Bert Ellison is originally from western North Carolina. He did his undergraduate work at UNC-Chapel Hill and then earned a master’s degree in divinity from Duke University and a Ph.D. in sociology from the City, Culture, and Community program at Tulane University, where he studied the formation of a sense of belonging among adolescents in educational settings.
     
    Dr. Ellison is passionate about co-creating systems of belonging. For more than15 years, he has had the opportunity to do this work in a variety of roles and settings such as summer camps, higher education, technology consulting, and being a stay-at-home dad. He and his wife live in Winston-Salem and have two sons.

    Bio
     
    A native of Winston-Salem, Doug earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and American history at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his MBA at Gardner-Webb University. 

    Doug has applied his business and leadership knowledge to athletics and basketball over the course of his career, managing program operating budgets and taking responsibility for budget forecasting, scheduling games, ensuring NCAA compliance, planning and directing summer camps, purchasing equipment, and hiring and managing personnel in various positions for the past 15 years. Most recently, he served as Associate Head Men’s Basketball Coach at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he was the recruiting coordinator and offensive coordinator. Prior to UNC-W, Doug coached at Mercer University and Gardner-Webb University and served as Director of Men’s Basketball Operations at UNC-G.

    He and his wife Ashley have a daughter, Grier, who attends FCDS.

Forsyth Country Day School (FCDS) is a private, college preparatory, independent school for preschool through high school located in Lewisville, NC, just outside of Winston-Salem.
