FCDS Orchestra Students Perform at the Junior Western Regional Orchestra
FCDS sixth grader Abigail Tan and seventh grader Reese Battle earned chairs in the Junior Western Regional Orchestra! The students participated in an overnight clinic in Shelby, N.C. Abigail placed sixth chair in the Honors Orchestra, and Reese was first chair in the Repertory Orchestra.
“The performances were gorgeous and it was hard to believe that we were listening to middle school students. The maturity, expression, intonation, and level of music were beyond their years. Both girls worked hard and represented FCDS beautifully,” said Barbara Bell, FCDS Orchestra Director.
